Seafoam Dress Finished

Whew! It's done. It was fairly easy to piece together, all except that dastardly zipper. As you can see from the "back shot" the invisible zipper is visible (sad day). Closing off the bottom was the hardest part, and I'm still not sure how to do it correctly. I will be trying to tweak it, I think, because it kind of looks hokey. It's really snug, but the fabric does have some stretch to it, so I can still be a mom in it:) I'd love to hear whatcha'll think!

Here it is a few days later, complete with a belt.

  2. Where do you get your patterns? Or do you just make it up as you go?

  3. Thanks, Audra-podra! And Lindsay, I draw up an illustration first and then work out the details in my head till it all makes sense. Once I get to that point, I use clothes that I already have, as a sort of measurement-guide and just try it on as I go to know if I need to make any changes. ??? I don't know how professionals do it haha but that's the only way I know how!
